Whenever you're ready to launch a new business online, a great way to drive targeted traffic to your new website is to write a great press release. When writing a press release, it is important to keep a few things in mind to prevent your information from being labeled as blatant self-promotion. Although the best press release distribution service is a form of advertising, it is important that it does not sound like advertising. A good launch should sound like a third party that has nothing to gain by informing stakeholders of a potentially interesting website or online business in writing.

The first thing to keep in mind when writing your post is that you want to convince the reader that you are providing valid and researched information rather than presenting your opinion as fact. A great way to show the reader that the information in the information is legitimate is to provide statistics. The numbers and hard facts will help give the press release some credibility. When providing statistics, use simple numbers to help illustrate or support statements that will not be too confusing.

Second, make sure the press release is written in an interesting way. Be entertaining even when facts occur. Write your presentation in the same way as a news article or something to read for entertainment. A dry press release containing nothing but facts and figures will not be an interesting read and will not create the same buzz as a creative and entertaining release.

Third, when writing your release, don't constantly mention your domain name or website. Most will have a media contact area and that area will give you an opportunity to provide the relevant domain name. It is also acceptable to mention the domain name of the website by providing the full URL once in the body. Having the domain name present in the press release more than that will make it seem like nothing more than a way to get a free promotion, and many of the people you want to read the press release will ignore it.

Lastly, don't stuff your press release with keywords or sales jargon. Remember, a vital point is not to have a sales pitch. It is entirely possible to promote yourself, your product, and your website without looking like an online marketer. Try to offer valid information, do it yourself or advice that is relevant to your topic, essentially giving a little advance that invites you to review your service, product or experience. Great and have fun with this powerful way to earn business and potential web traffic.
