In order to complete the following practice source citations in NoodleTools, you will likely find it useful to open items in multiple tabs or windows.

This allows you to quickly click back and forth between the item you want to cite and the NoodleTools page, so that you are able to fill out the necessary citation information more easily.

If you already know how to open a page in a new window or tab, feel free to skip to the bottom of this page and go to the next section.

If you haven't done this before, on most web browsers (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.) you can right-click a link and choose to open it in a new tab or window. Then you'll be able to select the tab from the top of your window to quickly move between the new page and what you had open before.

Here's what it looks like:

Identify the link you want to open:
Right-click on the link ONCE, and then select either "Open in a New Tab" or "Open in a New Window"
(either works- many people use "new tab" because you can see each page on the same window- you'll see what this looks like in the screenshot for step 3)
The new page will open in a tab at the top of the window, and you can click on any tab to view that page:
If you keep the page with the information about the source you are citing open in one tab or window and NoodleTools open in another, as in the screenshot above, you can move back and forth between the two as you fill out the citation information.
