Welcome to Holman Library's online NoodleTools citation tutorial!

This tutorial is intended to be a fully online version of the library's short on-campus citation workshops. That means this tutorial will cover similar material to that covered in the library's face-to-face "NoodleTools" citation workshops.

By the time you finish this tutorial, you will:

Be introduced to what we mean when we say "citation" in a college setting, and why citing outside sources is so important
Be able to identify the two major citation styles at Green River, APA and MLA style
Orient yourself to the citation management tool, NoodleTools, that you can access through Holman Library, with information about how NoodleTools can help you keep track of research notes as well as citations
Practice citing a book, an online article from a library database, and a website in either MLA or APA style
Learn how to convert your saved citations into a Word or .rtf bibliography in NoodleTools
Know where to go for more citation help or guidance

Although the in-person version of this tutorial is a 30 minute session, you may want to allow more time to complete this online version because you will need to read through the tutorial materials to complete. The good news is you can take as much time as you need for each section - there is no time limit!
